Hmm..this was a commission I did for a friend who works (on occasion) at Radio Caroline which (for those of you who don’t know) gained much infamy and applause as the premier Pirate Radio Station over a more than 40 year career..Way da Go!
Hmm..this was a commission I did for a friend who works (on occasion) at Radio Caroline which (for those of you who don’t know) gained much infamy and applause as the premier Pirate Radio Station over a more than 40 year career..Way da Go!
It’s effectively one of my trademark sunsets (all fiery red and streaky yellow!) with the addition of the ‘Pirate Ship’ itself. The ship is well known for its tall mast and such feature is a gift to any composition in that it affords both a striking silhouette and an effective device for directing the line of sight within the painting.
